QUEEN MADALSA : OUR INSPIRATION

Queen Madalsa, a revered figure in Indian mythology, embodies the perfect blend of grace and wisdom. Her life exemplified the balance between luxury and simplicity, power and humility, and outer beauty with inner wisdom.

In the spirit of Queen Madalsa, our brand seeks to capture this essence of timeless elegance and profound wisdom. Madalsa blends the luxury of fine clothing with the richness of Indian cultural heritage, creating not just garments but legacies to be cherished.

SHIPRA SHARMA

FOUNDER

Born and raised in the Pink City of Jaipur, Rajasthan, Shipra developed an early appreciation for India's diverse artistic traditions. Her passion for culture and craftsmanship was further nurtured during her time as a UPSC aspirant, where she studied the intersections of culture, art, and tradition. Her extensive travels across India allowed her to witness first-hand the intricate craftsmanship of local artisans, inspiring her to preserve and promote these age-old techniques in a modern context.

Guided by a vision to honor India's heritage while catering to modern tastes, Shipra established House of Madalsa. She believes in creating exquisite garments that offer a personalized experience and reflect the stories of luxury, culture, and artistry. Shipra's commitment to sustainability and ethical practices is at the heart of the brand, making House of Madalsa a beacon of responsible fashion.

Our Philosophy

Behind the Scenes

Each garment at House of Madalsa is brought to life by the skilled hands of our dedicated artisans and craftsmen. These talented individuals, hailing from various parts of India, specialize in hand block printing, embroidery, and weaving. Their expertise and passion ensure that every piece is not just clothing, but a work of art. We take pride in supporting and empowering our artisans with fair wages and safe working conditions, celebrating their craftsmanship and preserving these invaluable skills for future generations.

Sustainable Practices

At House of Madalsa, sustainability goes beyond production methods—it’s about the life cycle of our products and their impact on the planet. We craft our collections using natural materials like cotton, linen, silk, and other biodegradable, skin-friendly fabrics. While traditional techniques may sometimes require significant water and energy, they prioritize handcrafted, low-impact processes over industrial mass production. By focusing on durability, quality, and an ethical supply chain, we aim to minimize our environmental impact while fostering a sustainable relationship between fashion, culture, and nature.
